Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo Unboxing Pictures & Review
Though Xperia Neo doesn’t come as out-standing like Xperia Play and Xperia Arc, still it appears to be competitive enough among the mid-range priced smartphones with its typical Sony Ericsson appearance as well as advanced functions. Xperia Neo inherits a signature Sony Ericsson design. Its light-rounded shape looks very much like the Vivaz yet with more volume and a larger, 3.7-inch capacitive screen. We welcome addition of the three physical buttons below the screen as they help to assist alternative operations.
Unlike the Xperia Arc, the back is light rounded to maintain the “human curvature” form factor. It’s also friendlier to hold in the hand. The plastic back helps the device to keep its weight with graceful curves and gradient on the back. The 8.1-megapixel camera can also be found at the back as well.
A 0.3-megapixel secondary VGA camera can be found just above the screen. Having it front-faced, it is perfect for video calls. You can also find the proximity and ambient light sensors neat arranged to the side.
On top of the phone you can find a lid-protected HDMI-out port which allow convenient video output to HD TV. There’s also a microUSB slot for charging and syncing handset, together with a 3.5mm standard headset jack. All in all, the Xperia Neo can certainly be a big hit with its much friendlier price than those of its Xperia brothers. With its excellent design and specs, it is a new kind of quality standard set by Sony among the mid-range priced handsets.
