Canon PowerShot S95 Unboxing Pictures & Review
Having troubles when shooting under low light conditions using a compact digital camera? Most of the DCs have such problem. But I think this time the Canon PowerShot S95 is intelligent enough to let you shine at night with its powerful DIGIC 4 Digital Image Processor combined with the new HS System and Hybrid IS.
Let’s look at what are inside the box: the PowerShot S95 digital camera, a battery pack, a battery charger, a USB data cable and a AV cable, a CD-ROM, a user’s guide and a wrist strap.
The PowerShot S95 comes with a stylish black design and a 10MP lens. Its DIGIC 4 Digital Image Processor is ultra-fast to process very complex images and can effectively reduce noise. A bright f/2.0 wide-angle lens together with the new HS System enables S95 to perform exquisitely under dim light conditions as well as shallow depth of field. Also, the powerful Hybrid IS makes better close-up images when macro-shooting. What’s more, there’s an advanced Control Ring around the lens, which can be used to control aperture value, shutter speed, ISO etc. The built-in flash can be used together with the Smart Flash Exposure to make colours more evenly distributed and thus sharper images.
The rear screen is a 3-inch PureColor II G LCD one with 461,000-dot resolution. It is made up of reinforced glass that can reduce light reflection.
The control at the camera top lets you choose from Aperture priority (Av), Shutter priority (Tv) to full manual (M) exposure shooting mode. You can easily adjust aperture, shutter speed, white balance and ISO.
There is another smaller Control Dial beside the screen. With the Control Ring and the Control Dial, you can freely make your masterpieces according to your preferences and moods at anytime and anywhere.
For interface, a unified digital Input/Output is used with Hi-Speed USB, MTP, PTP, Audio and Video, as well as HDMI output.
Overall, the Canon PowerShot S95 has pretty much upgrades than its predecessor S90. Not only it can let you perform better at night, but it also can help you to capture every moment with its enhanced 28 Scene Detection modes and creative special effects like “fisheye” and “miniature”. Last but not least, its 720p HD-quality movie capture function and the new HDR mode can really initiate your creativity.
