Apple iPhone 3G UnBoxing

I am so excited to have the iPhone 3G received today because I am always a fan of Apple's products. Their products are always “cool” and “smart”, inside and out. Let's see if iPhone 3G can once again demonstrated Apple’s ability to wow their fans.

With its HSDPA support, it is twice as fast than 2G EDGE and it can switch seamlessly between EDGE, 3G and WiFi, you can always get the fastest speed possible. It truly makes Internet go into your pocket. The 3G applications do not make the battery any less durable (talk time 10 hrs and stand-by 300hrs). However, function as basic as MMS is still not possible under the new phone may make iPhone 3G stand out from the peers, not in a good way.

The newly-added A-GPS helps users to locate themselves and see traffic condition. Users can easily find route and points of interest such as nearby cafés, with the integration of the popular Google Maps. IPhone’s exclusive GeoTag feature will tag every picture with its location taken that can let users trace back their cherished memories.

Users can download latest-developed games and business applications specifically designed for the advanced platform of iPhone from the new AppStore. iPhone thus can be upgraded easily. The installed iPhone 2.0 software supports Microsoft Exchange which allows users to push email, synchronize calendar events, and contacts and company directory. It makes business organization much more convenient and will definitely fuel up the battle with Blackberry. The new iPhone 2.0 is compatible with 21 languages input, it is thus more accessible to non-English speakers.

Although iPhone 3G is not one giant step in technical revolution, I think iPhone 3G is still a user-friendly and thoughtful product that suit a Smartphone user in multi dimensions.

The new iPhone 3G has a sleek sculpted design which screams style wherever you go. Silver volume controller and silent switch define on the side are very handy. The new 3.5mm headphone plug-in allows user to use their favorite headphone.

The metallic back case is changed to a lighter plastic case. The lustrous surface still make the phone look high-end. The improved chiseled arched edge makes the phone look even slimmer and easy for your grip. 16G iphone is also available in both black or white.

iPhone 3G has inherited the 3.5-inch high-sensitivity rotate-able Multitouch screen from its previous generation to give users enhanced multimedia sensation. Users can customize icons on the main layout and can establish as many as 9 main layouts.

Camera remains 2.0 Megapixel might disappoint eager snappers. Camera is still on the backside of the phone, yet iPhone 2.0 is not compatible to iChat or video conferencing, camera on the front is not as necessary.

Samsung E251 Mini Product Review

I have just finished with the Samsung M620 a couple of days ago. And here’s Samsung SGH-E251, another entry-level phone again. Well~~ I think Samsung really wanted to get all the market segments from very low end to the very high end in several months. It’s time for us to check out what the E251 is all about.

The package comes with a Battery, a Charger, a USB cable, a headset and Manual.

Still remember E250? It is the brother of E251. And they look quite similar. Yet, E251 is little bit thicker than its brother, it is 14mm. However, E251 is still very handy.

And this time E251 has little change in design, front panel buttons is the same, but function buttons now a little lower. Also, extra button is added. The navigation key “down” in stand-by mode is to turn on the camera and get to the musical player by pressing the navigation button “up”. You can access most of the phone's functions with the navigation keys when it is closed. It is convenient to you.

With 128x160 pixel resolution TFT display only, and didn’t have the vivid icons and pictures. It is definitely incomparable to other high end mobile. As a low budget phone, it is fair though.

A shot on E251 slide open.

VGA camera is included in the phone.

On the left side, you may find a Card slot. And you can expand the memory with a MicroSD card. (The memory card is for reference only.)

The phone has many practical functions which most users have come to expect from their mobile phone but all within a good budget finish. If you aren’t going to use it for business or download plenty of attachments, I can say that it is definitely a good choice for you.

Samsung M620 Mini Product Review

There are so many innovative phones launched. Like iPhone, Nokia E71, LG Secret etc. But this time an entry-level model from the Essential series, Samsung SGH M620, which is designed solely for phone calls, is introduced .It minus the frills of the high tech gadgetry on the latest mobile devices. To evoke our sense that the mobile phone's core function is cellular connectivity. Let’s check it out.
The package comes with a Battery, a Charger, a USB cable, earphones headsets, and Manual.

M620 is simple and sleek with practical slide-up. The reflective surface is glossy and stays pretty clean in use.

And the keypad layout is also clean and clear.

A close up on the earphones. The color is match with the phone body. It looks cute.

However, the menu and icon look a bit dull. I guess it’s acceptable. As a low budget phone, you can’t expect too much on it.

And the Card slot is located on the side. (The memory card is for reference only.)

VGA Camera is included.

It is such a functional phone and user friendly even for a little child. Since some new techniques added phones seldom come to market without at least a few glitches. But I can promise you that M620 is unlike anything else on the market.
