HTC Touch Cruise 09 Footprints Unboxing Pictures & Review
Touch Cruise again? No, this time is HTC Cruise T4242, Touch Cruise 09. Its built-in GPS functionality has improved over its bigger brother HTC Touch Cruise, with faster processor and more memory make this new device a winner. The part that most impressed me is the new Footprints option which help you to find your way back to the hidden little cafe or club you visited last year. Fascinating ~! Let’s check it out to see whether it fitted the rumor or not.
The package comes with a battery, a charger, USB cable, 1 CD-ROM and a user’s guide. There’re also 2 Stylus, 1 headset and 1 pouch and includes proprietary in-car holder.
In terms of dimensions, the Touch Cruise 09 is right among the compact PocketPCs on the market. It stands at 102 x 53.5 x 14.5 mm and weighs 103g, which is far not the smallest gadget around but it won't tear a hole in your pocket either.
Turning the phone over, you will see the 3.2 megapixel camera. It feels sturdy, isn’t it?
Under the screen we see the Call and End keys on each side of the 4-Way Navigation Wheel with Enter button navigation wheel. And the two remaining keys on the front are GPS button and the Footprints button.
On the top right corner, you will see the loudspeaker grill which is next to the 3.2 megapixel camera with fixed focus.
The bottom of Touch Cruise 09 holds the USB slot. It can be used as Sync connector or earphone jack. It does not have 3.5mm jack, however, it equipped with equalizer software.
Remove the back cover, you will see the microSD card slot. The red spot next to the slot is the sort reset button.
It has a soft pouch with it which can protect the phone securely. And it did a marvelous feat with its thickness as well which is to a nicety. Once there is an incoming call, the pouch would not insulate the ring tone and make sure you won’t miss any calls.
Touch Cruise 09 integrated Window 6.1 professional and Qualcomm MSM7225 528 Mhz processor.
The memory of Touch Cruise 09 is in 256 MB RAM , 512 MB ROM compare with his brother Touch Cruise which is in 128MB of RAM , 256 ROM, it is in high visibility improvement.
On the Touch input settings page. You may see several Touch input methods for setting the format of your virtual keyboard.
The picture we took is the Big Ben. Once you take a picture, the HTC Footprints automatically saves your location as shown on the picture.
The Touch Cruise 09 is a great improvement from Touch Cruise P3650! The camera which is 3.2 megapixel compared with 3.15 megapixel of Touch Cruise P3650 and speed have all got a healthy boost. The price is even cheaper than the old one. Wi-Fi would be a nice bonus, but I think that will drive the phone to a higher price point. However, it is in a bargain price. I can say it is worth more than you paid !
