Nokia N86 Unboxing Pictures & Review
Market leaders Nokia are usually among the key news makers at mobile industry and always surprised us with it advanced technology. Continuing long run of success, they have added another new thing to its N series, N86, the new imagining-savvy flagship. Its 8 megapixel camera with new added features which is a top contender for daylight shots, rival the Samsung I8910 Omnia and Sony Ericsson W995 for the 8 megapixel crown. And…...
Read on.It comes with a battery, a stereo headset, a charger, a data cable, an audio controller, a Nokia Ovi Suite DVD and a user’s guide.
N86 looks alike its brother N85 but a bit thicker, and only with a light different between their keypad. It fits well in a hand no matter the mode you are using it in (portrait/landscape). The one we test is entirely black
The keypad on the front panel: 2 selection keys, Send/End keys, Menu key, Clear key, as well as the Scroll and selection key in the middle which is responds to circular movements from your finger. To be honest, the D-pod is not the very definition of user-friendliness but isn't too bad either.
Sliding the Nokia N85 up. You may aware of that Nokia have improved their keypad here from over flat one to more sensitive one.
N86 sports the double-sliding format started by N95. Sliding the phone in the other direction reveals the dedicated music player/gallery/gaming keys. They are in same order as N85, but the icon any the keys have improved a lot. I like N86 more.
On the right, we have the volume/Zoom key and the camera shutter. 2 stereo speakers placed at the top and the bottom of the device.
On the left, there is the key lock switch only.
At the top of the device, we have power key, Nokia AV connector (3.5mm) and the USB slot.
The back panel placed flash and video light, lens cover and the 8 magepixal camera. They are perfectly balanced.
Well~ the 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and a built-in dual LED flash is the remarkable thing in N86, with a wide-angle 28mm Carl Zeiss lens of variable F2.4/3.2/4.8 aperture. The fast mechanical shutter ensures pictures with less motion blur while the dual LED camera flash is powerful enough for excellent photography and video capture. The quality of the photo taken by this camera can be compared by stand alone digital cameras. Cool~
N86 got a really cool kickstand. We love it so much, but you have to take special care with it. It seems a bit weak which is easily to be broken.
It comes with a huge 8GB built in memory plus the handset supports a memory card slot which can hold up to 16GB of external memory. Unfortunately, you have to remove the back cover to insert the memory card here.
N86’s screen sure is amazing. It’s with incredible contrast. And the UI can also work in landscape mode.
It runs on Symbian 9.3 OS with Series60 3rd Edition user interface. Just the same as N85. Nokia N85 also supports Active standby with two optional layouts.
You can select the default provider here. As N86 is a 3G HSDPA capable Smartphone which supports high speed Internet connectivity, fast data transfer rates, so that we can enjoy multitasking features with thanks to the 3G technology.

N86 offers bright OLED screen with scratch resistant hardened glass, high-end digital camera, and easy photo management, full sync capability with a PC and TV-out support for slide shows also offers services such as Nokia Ovi with Nokia Maps for the A-GPS module and Nokia Store and N-Gage. Absolutely, it is a great improvement of N85.
