Samsung S8300 UltraTOUCH Unboxing Pictures & Review
Samsung’s Ultra series deliver some of the latest advances in technology and multimedia functionality, creating state-of-the-art and most powerful handsets. After several generations old, this Samsung S8300 is going to be the representative of its fourth incarnation, being Samsung’s flagship device for 2009. This time I get a chance to show it to all of you! Read on….
It comes with the phone, a battery, a handsfree, a travel charger a USB cable, a CD-ROM plus a user’s guide.
Still remember Samsung i8510 INNOV8, a slider phone which announced last year? With outstanding design and powerful feature. Samsung S8300 looks lightly alike that one which is with 8 megapixel camera as well. However, this sleek device step up from the plastic slider phones that appear in i8510. Sure, there are still plastic materials used but in very high quality and combine that with the black metallic frame.
The layout of the front panel is rather typical for a touchscreen operated handset. There are three buttons at the bottom - Call and End keys and a Back button that is used for going one step backwards throughout the menu.
The keypad is in Platium Red. All the keys are on the front are large and comfortable enough to use and provide nice tactile feedback in decent tying speed.
At the top you get the earpiece, light sensor and the videocall camera. There is also a proximity sensor next to the light sensor which is used for locking the display when holding the handset next to your ear.
The back of the S8300 hosts the 8 megapixel camera with the LED flash and the self-portrait mirror next to it.
The microSD slot in under the back cover. Next to it is the SIM Card slot.
The galleries of the device have slideshows and a nice accelerometer-based feature. It lets you browse pictures in fullscreen landscape mode by simply tilting your phone on its side, of course, you will get automatic rotation of the photos by changing the device orientation.
Move on to the camera. Samsung S8300 has several focus modes: Auto Focus, Marco, Face detection and Pan Focus. Just like all the goodies appeared on Samsung M8800 Pixon.
There are several Shooting modes for S8300 as well: Single, Continuous, Panoranma, Smile Shot, Mosaic etc. See how powerful it is!
All in all, Samsung S8300 is made a great first impression on us and left us eager for more. It is worth to mention that the quality of the OLED display. Every picture looks incredibly vibrant on the OLED display since it has simply amazing contrast. It’s amazing. The colorful and user-friendly updated TouchWiz interface is yet another great part of the S8300. The only downside is the lack of WiFi in S8300.
