Samsung G400 Unlocked Phone - Unboxing Review

As my first glance on Samsung G400, I guess it is the folding Soul. Are all you guys have the consensus with me? However, Samsung assured us, that the model’s official name is only G400.

Samsung G400 inherits the look and feel of Soul with unique premium exterior and graphical user interface design identity. In addition, as a member of the G-class which is the camera phone line, equipped with powerful camera features. I am so exciting to hand on it and show it to all you guys.

The package comes with a Battery, a Charger, a USB cable, a headset, CD and Manual.

The Samsung G400 is a classy looking clamshell design phone, in a stainless steel shell with external full touch screen display. Cool~

Flipping it open, you may see the internal display. It looks small in contrast to the huge body. And both screens are color well in a dim light but are unusable in direct sunlight.

Keypad closed up. It's in well spaced out and the keyboard buttons are large which is very convenient to work, as they are easy to press and clearly felt. The same goes for the side buttons.

5 mega-pixel camera is located at the rotation axis that allow you to capture your favorable moment easily either the phone is fold or not. Here’s the phone unfold, the camera turns to the middle that you can make use of it to do self snapshot. Well, it is an absolute joy with it.

Side shots. Is it Motorola RAZR2 V8? No, it is just looks like the product of Motorola, it is 100% by Samsung. You may see “Samsung” at the bottom of the internal display.

The microSD slot is located at the top left hand side of the phone.

5 mega-pixel camera now is turned to the back of the phone when the phone folded.

The multimedia features on the G400 including music player, camera, and photo album. It has an FM radio too, so if you get tired of your tracks you can simply tune in to your favorite radio station.

Seamless operation of them can be viewed directly on the large external display by without opening the folder. It can be more then a phone.

Here’s the content of music player. It has heat sensitive sensors with haptic feedback.

I am now trying out the camera. Same as Samsung F480 and I900, G400 equipped with many up-to-date digital camera features such as automatic face detection, 4x digital zoom, image stabilizer and Wide Dynamic Range. Well~ it seems very powerful. Let’s see the quality of the picture come out.

Actual photo shot by the phone in an indoor office lighting environment. The color looks well and the degree of brightness is balanced.

With the Xenon flash on. The picture comes out looking great under the powerful flash.

Touch-screen technology is the most desired feature in cell phones today. Samsung has done it in a flipping phone. It is such a newest creation. However, the only drawback is that it is hard to flip open with single hand since its rotation axis is very strong that may grip on your fingers easily. However, it is very comfortable during a talk.
