Nokia E66 UnBoxing & Review

A new smartphone of the E series was announced-
E66, which is practical and playful. E66 offers you 2 modes, business
and personal home screen modes to immediately shift from work to play.
E66 is a handy slider, which is appreciated with its updated Contacts
and Calendar applications. With luxurious, stainless steel casing, and
smooth slider, it supports many multi- functions. You can get E66 in
grey or white steel. Let’s check it out.

The package comes with a Battery, a Charger, a USB cable, a headset, a nice-looking leather case, a CD and Manual.

The E66 is unusually slim in Series E, it doesn’t take up much room in
your pocket. There’re a 240 x 320 pixels and 2.4 inches screen on the
cell phone. At the first glance, it looks nice, sharp and plain.

The buttons on top consist of end/ send key, with a delete/ back key
located directly between, and left and right soft keys above. Four- way
toggle with a center select key, Five-way scroll key (Home, calendar,
contacts, and email) are also on top, you can take use of a variety of
functions without sliding up. The numeric keypad layout is clean and
clear..

Sliding up it, the traditional printed buttons reveal. Now, the * key
is a shortcut to toggle Bluetooth. Messaging with the E66 is quite
good, especially, it supports for many email accounts, text and
multimedia, as well as the integration of Microsoft’s Exchange server
for push e-mail, contacts, and calendar synchronization.

On the right side, you'll find a microSD expansion slot, which accepts
up to 8GB memory. (The memory card is for reference only.)

A shot of the back of E66. You will find a big piece of stainless steel
back cover which added the glorious touch for the phone. This slim
slider is comfortable to hold in hand.

There’s a 3.2 mega pixels camera with semi-auto-focus and LED flash.
Although the photo and video quality aren’t good as N95, they’re well
above average for a mobile phone.

The power button, which is in bright red plastic, is located on the top.

Here is a shot of the menu of E66.

The GPS sensor of it is very sensitive; you just need a minute to find
out the street. Honest talk, Nokia Maps is still one of the smoothest,
good looking navigation programs currently.

And there’s a gimmicky function of E66. It is a barcode reader. See how’s it function. Here’s a barcode.

The smart phone is Scanning the barcode.

Neglecting the bad battery and side tone performance, E66 is definitely
a attractive and good business smart phone. With such glossy surface
and user- friendly design, the device looks professional. E66’s build
quality is fantastic.
